The Industrial Revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race. They have greatly increased the life-expectancy of those of us who live in “advanced” countries, but they have destabilized society, have made life unfulfilling, have subjected human beings to indignities, have led to widespread psychological suffering (in the Third World to physical suffering as well) and have inflicted severe damage on the natural world. The continued development of technology will worsen the situation. It will certainly subject human beings to greater indignities and inflict greater damage on the natural world, it will probably lead to greater social disruption and psychological suffering, and it may lead to increased physical suffering even in “advanced” countries. This game turns boys into men. Before I played this game I was a nerd with no friends and parents that saw me as nothing more than a thing that turns oxygen into CO2. I woke up one morning to the voices telling me to buy this game. After slamming down my 37th can of white monster in 5 minutes and crawled out of the abyss known as my bed. I stumbled over the half drunk bottles of water and piles of god knows what and bought this game. Ever since my life has changed. I moment I clicked download Uncle Kenny himself appeared in my room, made all the trash disappear from my room, kissed me on the cheek and disappeared. Suddenly I felt my entire existence flip on its head.
